Since “Battle of Gods” has surfaced in Japanese theaters, it has made a great deal of success. Cinema Today along with Box Office Mojo has reported that Battle of Gods reached a total of 2,181,328 in attendance and ¥2,668,081,600 in raw sales since its launch. It has been just one month since this movie has been released, and Toei Animation is still on pace to hit its original goal of 3 Billion Yen. Battle of Gods will remain in Japanese theaters for just one more week, and reaching that goal is very possible considering it is now the Golden Week. We can only hope that this great movie will make its way to the United States, and show us why it is producing these amazing numbers!
On a recent post at dblegends, it has been hinted that Battle of Gods will be screened in over 40 countries across the globe. We are fortunate enough to have Kanzenshuu to translate what Norihito Sumitomo, the composer Battle of Gods, stated on his official website:
At last, it’s the opening of Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. The content has plenty to enjoy for children of course, but even adults, as well. It is truly a global-scale work, which (is/will be) shown in 40-plus countries around the world. By all means, please get yourselves out to the theater. You definitely won’t regret it. Please [check out] the soundtrack, too!
Although Norihito Sumitomo hinted at this about a month ago, not many people have this knowledge so this is big news!
Let’s hear your thoughts!
